It's between a foundation and a powder.
I like this product! Yes, I have mature skin and was growing tired of liquid foundations gathering in my facial lines and loose powers making my skin look dry. I plan on reordering.

Baked Color Correct Foundation
This product offers good coverage without being too heavy. You can control the application for lighter or heavier coverage which I like. The finish is matte, so don't expect anything dewy or with a highlight sheen.

You need to adjust amount to your liking....
The more I use this product, the more I enjoy it. It has taken some trail and error to figure out how heavy or light I desire the coverage. It goes on smooth and is not oily or shiny. I find it best to allow any moisturizers to absorb fully before starting application in order to get the smoothest coverage.

concealed beautifully
This product worked beautifully to conceal the redness and uneven tone on my face.

Not For Me
Took a chance on this product. Overall I was impressed how it is a light feeling coverage. I bought because it said it helped cover acne scars. It works well over my liquid foundation but not enough on its own and there are a lot of powders that work the same over my liquid foundation. I was hoping at the $$$ it would have worked on its own and I could have eliminated the liquid foundation. I myself won't buy it again. Too much money.

Good for light/medium coverage
I really like the foundation for days when I don’t want full coverage. But I also use over a cream foundation when I want a complete look that is dewy and refined. I have a fairly light skin tone and the “fair” is perfect for winter, otherwise the “medium” is good for summer. The foundation is not overly “sparkly” and looks good on a woman approaching 60. It doesn’t settle into fine lines and is not at all cakey.

Light and smooth
This product makes a wonderful, light finishing powder. However, as a standalone foundation it just didn't provide quite the coverage I need.

Nice switch
I tried this foundation based on the reviews and the desire to change it up. I've been using a cream foundation and just wanted to make a change. I like this foundation; I'm still getting used to applying it. I want even coverage and most days I can achieve it. I'm pretty happy with the color; maybe wish it was a little lighter. I would buy it again.

Powder
Chose fair shade per shade finder. Color makes me look pale, especially with primer underneath. Seems a littler better without primer. Face less shiny though. May purchase again but in light to see if color is a better match.

Very Satisfied
I purchased Balance-n-Brighten in Golden Medium because I have olive undertones to my skin. When I first applied it it looked way too dark, but somehow after a few minutes it seem to blend into my complexion. I use it over tinted primer. It lasts all day. The color is perfect for summer, but next time I will go down one shade lighter. I recommend this product. Age 66

Lovely
This baked powder is like no other I’ve ever used… light coverage, perfects, add a subtle sheen, not matt/dry, especially on mature skin. The only con is that the color varies from compact to compact. I have 2 mediums and one gives me better coverage than the other and is slightly darker. I think it depends on how much “color” is swirled into each compact. Otherwise, love it.

Wonderful for mature skin
This is the first time I have tried any Laura Geller products and I am very impressed with the way this foundation lightly covers imperfections without settling in the lines on my face. I ordered both the fair and medium because I have neutral undertones and didn’t know which one would be right for me. I have blond hair, brown eyes and fair skin, and the fair is much better on me. The medium is too dark, even with a tan. Of the two I ordered, the fair came broken and crumbled up, which I’m sure happened during shipping unfortunately, and makes it quite messy. This is the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five. Nice product though- I will order it again!
