Lighter scars

Been using this for 3 weeks now and noticed a bit of lightening on my insect bites scars and bruises. Formulation is very light weight, don't feel like it is even on my skin. Very comfortable to wear. Definitely not greasy, not sticky and the consistency is just right. However, I discovered lately that on the area where I applied this gel, it results in hair growth around that area. The hair growth is pretty quick too. In my instance, I don't and never had any hair on my arms. However, I noticed some hair growth around the arm area especially where my scar is, where this gel was applied. Does this gel suppose to do that? Overall though, I like this product and will continue using it until I see a big difference in my scars. That just means I will have to wax my arm now :)

Mohs Surgery Healing

I purchased this product to use during the daytime after Mohs surgery on my nose. My surgery was left to heal by "secondary intention," meaning that they could not close the area with stitches, and I could not get a skin graft because they had to remove tissue down to the cartilage. Once the scar had formed and was completely closed, I began using this silicone gel during the day so that I could apply sunscreen and tinted moisturizer over it. I use a heavy hydrocolloid spot bandage at night. The dermatologist who performed my surgery is very pleased with the results from my efforts. It was thought that I would need laser treatment on the scar, but it is barely noticeable. I am 3 months post surgery, I began using NewGel+ at 2 months post surgery. Less is more with this product, you want to apply a thin layer extending just past the scar. It dries quickly if applied properly. I do believe that the pressure from the hydrocolloid bandages is helping more than this product, but it helps me stay confident that the scar is protected and sealed. I highly recommend it for facial scars.

Skin treatment
