I have been using Obagi for years. I was told that my skin needed to take a break from the hydroquinone. This is a great product to use as you take a break!

Too soon to tell
Just started using this line again to try to address some resistant dark spots on my cheeks. Prefer arbutin over hydroquinone because it's safer even though probably not as effective. However, just read the arbutin can similarly cause rebound hyperpigmentation. Sigh. Hope this works for me.

Better with the Hydroquinone
I have been using this product for years. I have very sensitive skin and have never had the consistent results. I did feel like the results were better before they removed the hydroquinone. I wish I could still get it.

Experimenting!
A little goes a long way with this product which is nice. It is quickly absorbed and doesn’t leave a heavy residue. It does kind of have a funky smell but I bought it for functionality, not perfume. It’s a bummer but I haven’t seen any results or changes with my melasma since using this. I will try for a bit longer and see.

Obagi Blender FX
I used to use Blender with Hydroquinone long time ago and it did wonders. Now I'm back to using Obagi Nu-derm system again just with FX and this one is the last I tried. So far so good. Not as good as the original but would rather get this if it doesn't have long or short-term side effect as the hydroquinone based. Can be used long-term if that's the case. 4 stars for now until it's proven.

This stuff smells awful. I have to hold my breathe while spreading this on my face! I am using it as directed, blending it in with my prescription tretinoin, hoping to avoid using hydroquinone with this formula. I have only used it for two weeks but have high hopes that this will make my tretinoin more effective and also lighten dark spots on my skin. Recommended by my esthetician!

Helps stretch your retinol
This product is great for both prescription retinol and Obagi's retinol. When blended, it makes this thicker paste and a little goes a long way. Nightly use with retinol may irritate skin, I use five days out of the week. Oh and make sure you wait at least 20 min before closing your nightly regimen with night cream

Pricey but have seen some results
This was a tad more expensive than what I was hoping, but I was told by a friend that it worked wonders. I’ve been using it at night along with my retinol product and have seen some of my mask of pregnancy disappear (I’m 5 weeks postpartum).

Blend fx
I have only been using the blend fx for about two weeks, but I've noticed some mild improvement of my melasma patches already. I do mix the blend fx with an equal amount of retin-a. I can't wait to see the results after using this for several months. There is a chemical smell to this product, but it seems to fade away. I have migraines and the scent has not triggered any headaches for me.
