I used the prescription version many, many years ago and it worked well for me at that time, but this is a much better alternative. I use it with my tretinion at night which also helps the tretinion go on smoother.

I have not noticed a difference in performance compared to the one w hydroquinone which is agood thing. Helpful when combng w retinol to better distribute the retinol evenly over skin. I mix in my hand then apply.

I use this in the evening combined with Trentinoin. The combination of the two products helps improve fine lines and sun damage. The sun damage is a direct result of years of lying in the sun with No protection. Who knew back then? I appreciate this product and its result.

Good alt to Hydroquinone type
I'm very happy they came out with a hydroquinone free version. It seems to work the same. My skin is really sensitive so I blend it with 1% retinol cream only once per week (and I use very little of it). It still has that unpleasant glue paste smell to it but if you put a little of your regular night cream on top of it, it helps to manage the smell and keep you extra moisturized

Great for blending with Retin A!
I have been using the Obagi Blend products to blend with Retin A on and off for over 20 years. Makes for an easier application of Retin A. I have not really noticed any lightening effects, as I don't use it daily. The only reason I took off a star is the packaging is a bit difficult to squeeze and the last bottle I received was defective. The entire lid comes off, making the applicator unusable.

Difficult to use
Very difficult to get out of the bottle -have to press it against a counter. The smell is awful! That said, after only a few weeks, I don't notice any changes at all - positive or negative. I'll await completion of the first bottle.
