My dermatologist advised I use a retinol and had me start on .5 and then move to 1.0 after I adjusted. I had purchased Obagi products before and knew they were quality products so I bought the 1.0 Retinol. It took some adjusting to the higher strength but I weaned myself in slowly and just as my doctor said, the blemishes stopped. Bonus, my pores look smaller and my skin is softer.
