Simple way to try out the foundation, good idea and not a terrible price to pay but the amount of product you get is not enough to truly test the product. I took a picture but the website doesn't have a place to upload any. The size amount just covers the pad of your finger tip and you can cover under your eye with it. Also, the foundation has 18 shades and this tester only gives you 12, they should have a "Light" and "Warm" color pallet to choose from for customers. 9 on each because someone looking for Porcelain probably won't fit ebony. With that being said, the foundation feels very light (especially with a tiny amount on...) but I think I'll try the foundation for myself and hope for the best. Will it be a waste of money? I guess I'll find out.

I love that they offer this to determine your correct shade and feel the consistency etc. However, I found the amount of product to be to little for even 1 application which made it impossible to really judge the shade well especially in different lights. Also was unable to test how the foundation wore throughout the day. Because of this, I am hesitant to buy a full size due to the price and not feeling confident in the shade I would choose.

What would be better is blister packs of each shade so you could spread it over your whole face and see if it works for you and last through the day, etc. these shade cards only let you swipe the color along the side of your face. I still cannot be sure so I am not going to purchase the whole bottle.

However I ended up purchasing a second card because there simply isn’t enough product for a true match. And, what was there was dry and of poor consistency. Guess I’ll have to keep looking. Samples weren’t enough to really get an idea if I liked it. I did like the fact it came with so many different colors. From the little I tried I wasn’t sure I liked the way it went on. Seemed to make the pores in my skin stand out. It seemed to dry for my skin. Plan to try it again but would not order a full size at this time.

It is a great way to test out the right shade. However, there's just such little product in each shade that I wasn't able to test it out properly by wearing it on my face. It wasn't enough to cover half of my nose let alone the whole face. Nonetheless, I was able to find the right shade.

Not enough in each sample
While the sample card had all the colors, it didn't have much of any color. I wish they divided the card into lighter and darker shades (because you kind of know if you are lighter or darker) Then you could have half the samples but more in each sample. It was hard to determine exactly which shade I was (narrowed it down to 3) b/c you only get a tiny bit in each sample.
