I apply it after I get out of the shower and waiting for my hair to dry since it needs to be on 15-20 minutes. I do take it off with a cotton or gauze pad as it being black would stain a washcloth. LUV this mask. I like to apply it to my face, neck, chest, and hands. I have all white linens, so I have set aside a stack of white towels as this will stain those white towels (even when bleaching), but it's worth it). I use this weekly, and I like to leave it on for hours. You look ridiculous walking around the house in it! I also like to steam my face with the Dr. Dennis Gross Steamer before applying it to open my pores up well, so it gets in there good. The revision has excellent products, and I think this is one of the best masks you can use at home, and I use it on a regular basis now. The 8 oz size is a much better deal than the smaller jar when you divide price per oz. That small jar will not last long as you will want to do it often! :)
