Insanely effective
I have had difficult to treat melasma for the last 15+ years and have tried soooo many different things without lasting results or benefit. This was one of the first skinceuticals products I tried and I am absolutely blown away by how well this product has worked. It has evened my skin tone to the point that my prior areas are barely noticeable and so much so that I feel comfortable not wearing a heavy coverage foundation every time I leave the house. I will never stop using this product and highly recommend their UV defense sunscreen as a complement to this product.

SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defense
This product helps me maintain and even skin tone without any harsh chemicals. I try to use it every morning. After cleaning my skin with cool cotton pads (filtered water) I apply a few drops of this discoloration defense and check my phone, computer, yoga, have breakfast, etc. I let it stay on for about 30 minutes or more. I then wash my face with a mild cleanser and prepare my skin for the rest of the day. When I have more time in the morning or evening, I will put this discoloration defense under my facial masque. I try to use it every day to maintain and even, clear, skin tone.

I have used this product twice. I have many age spots on my hands that I am trying to minimize. It seems to be working as advertised. My only warning…take off your jewelry. It will discolor anything around the neck and earrings. I am only wearing the product at night with my jewelry off. No more problems

I do use this product from time to time. I don’t include it in my everyday skin care regimen. However, if I notice a darker spot starting to appear I do use for a while. It does seem to decrease the dark color. I recommend this product.

The reason I’m only giving a mediocre rating is because I can’t tell that use of this expensive product has improved the discoloration of my face but it has kept more discoloring from occurring which is some effectiveness.

I bought my first bottle from my dermatologist to treat my brown spots and decided to try a second bottle since LovelySkin offered better pricing when there was a sale. Like the first time around, I found this serum to be quite sticky on my skin even though I only use 2-3 drops each time. There is no fragrance to it which is nice. The sad thing for me is I still have not seen any changes to my brown spots. It’s too expensive to justify further purchases when it is doing nothing significant for me.

I received immediately started using it a bit early however the texture and quality appears to be not the same quality as the sample I received immediately I purchase a bottle due to I love the glow after using the sample I saw my skin was glowing.
