On My Second Bottle
I purchased this as a recommendation from my esthetician. I had previously used C E Ferulic for several years but my melasma is flaring up (age, stress and sun), and she told me she prefers this one for discoloration. I actually prefer the consistency of Phloretin CF over C E Ferulic. I don't have oily skin, but I live on the coast in FL, so this actually works out better for me with our humid climate. It absorbs better into my skin and my makeup also lays better.

This is my first time to use Phloretin CF.
This is my first time to use Phloretin CF but if it works as well as CE Ferulic, I’m be sure I will be happy. Love the SkinCeuticals sunscreens and triple lipid moisturizer. Highly recommend. Customer service response is 5 stars also.

From one who had too much sun
I have been using SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF Antioxidant Vitamin C Discoloration Serum now for years. I have had extensive sun damage as a teenager, skiing on glaciers in the summers, so now have a lot of discoloration and fighting wrinkles. I use this in conjunction with SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defense, and the two have decreased my discoloration significantly. I will keep using!

I have very acne prone skin and used a different very reputable brand that made me break out SOO bad which was a bummer because where I wasn’t breaking out my skin looked amazing haha! So I heard this Vitamin c is recommended for acne prone skin and so far I love it! I’ve been using for 2 weeks and have no broken out and I normally would have immediately. I have yet to see the long term results but I really like the consistency and that it doesn’t smell bad! I’ll post another review after I finish the bottle! Would definitely recommend for acne prone people!!

Wish it didn't have alcohol but...
Sometimes I get really hung up on one ingredient, for this product it's alcohol. I so wish it didn't have it but honestly it does a very solid job of brightening the skin. I will say don't be fooled into believing that you still don't need to actually treat your dark spots. It's a good product but would be amazing if they tweaked the formula and ditched the drying alcohol.

Good for hormonal issues with aging skin
I’m in my early 50s. I think most skincare professionals (dermatologists, plastic surgeons, etc) say that SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic and Phloretin CF are the real deal - truly effective when most products can’t do much. I had tried CE Ferulic first (on my own) and had a breakout. My aesthetician said that because I have always been prone to breakouts, the vitamin E oil in that was too much for me. She recommended this for me instead. I could see a difference within the first few days - lightening of old blemish spots and melasma, smoother texture (pores less obvious). And no breakouts. No further improvement yet but that was pretty amazing. I understand it takes several weeks’ use to see the full results. Will probably be a staple in my regimen now.

I started using this product about a month ago. My skin looks nicer, however, it feels sticky on my face. Maybe, I put too much on, not sure, but it's hard to spread it on the face so you get it on evenly. I will continue to use it since the dermatologist said it was really good for my facial skin.

SkinCeuticals is a solid brand and you WILL see results from all of their products. They have two antioxidant serums. My choose is the Phloretin CF because my skin trends oily. This is a true vitamin C derivative, and thus, you might feel a slight sting upon application. The bottle might seem small, but you only need a small amount daily, and this tiny bottle should last the typical user a little over six weeks with daily use.
