Excellent Job
I'd been using the highest strength Environ Vitamin A product for a couple years, and had some concerns about using Retinol 1.0 being too harsh on my sensitive skin. Probably after already having become acclimated to the Environ product, my skin tolerated the 1.0 pretty well. Did about a week of every other day, and now I'm using the product daily. The initial burning sensation when I'd put cream around my eyes has stopped, and my skin's looking in great shape. Follow it with Skinceuticals HA Intensifier and then their Triple Lipid Restore. All work extremely well together, and I highly recommend them.

THE BEST ON THE MARKET
THIS IS NOT MY FIRST TIME ORDERING THIS PRODUCT. I WAS USING PRESCRIPTION FORM OF THIS FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND THEN STOPPED. WHEN I STARTED AGAIN WITH SKINCEUTICALS I WENT RIGHT TO THE 1.0 BUT ONLY USING ONCE A WEEK AND THEN EVERY OTHER DAY. NOW I AM UP TO IT BEING PART OF MY NIGHTLY RITUAL. WHEN I WAS DOING IT EVERY OTHER DAY, I PUT IT OVER MY SERUM AND A LIGHT WEIGHT MOISTURIZER, BUT WAITED ABOUT AN HOUR BEFORE DOING SO. THIS ELIMINATED ANY IRRITATION. I AM NOW USING IT EVERY NIGHT AND AS DIRECTED BY SC. BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE. AFTER IT HAS ABSORBED I USE MY SERUM AND MY NIGHT CREAM. I HAVE READ THE COMPLAINTS ABOUT PEELING, THAT MEANS IT IS WORKING! REMOVING DEAD SKIN. I HAVE A VERY MILD EXFOLIATION I USE TO REMOVE THE DEAD SKIN. IF HOWEVER YOU ARE GETTING RED AND IRRITATED, CUT BACK. ALSO TRY USING A VERY LIGHT WEIGHT MOISTURIZER ON TOP OF IT. THE OTHER IMPORTANT THING IS A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY. YEARS AGO WHEN I STARTED WITH RETINOL I SLATHERED IT ON (YOU KNOW THE MORE THE BETTER) AND WAS ADVISED BY DR. TO USE A SMALL AMOUNT AND A LIGHT HAND. I HOPE SOME OF THIS HELPS ANYONE HAVING PROBLEMS. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BRAND FOR ANYONE WANTING TO USE RETINOL. I ATTRIBUTE THE USE OF THIS PRODUCT FOR MY SKIN NOT LOOKING MY AGE OF 75. NO WRINKLES AND GLOWING SKIN.

Ready for Renewal
I am a 49 y/o bf with normal skin. My skin is usually very easy to care for. I'm finding as I age, my skin does not turn over as quickly as it use to. I've used Retinol 0.5 in the past with great results several years ago so I knew it would be better to go for the Retinol 1.0. I was correct. It has taken 10 days for my skin to begin to peel. ( in the past the Retinol 0.5 worked faster) My new skin looks and feels wonderful!! My dark spots are much lighter, blackheads in my nose are gone, fine lines around my mouth are diminished. This is the best exfoliator around for home use on African American skin. While my skin is peeling, I use a heavier moisturizer (with sunscreen of course) and I avoid prolonged sun exposure. You may experience a little itchiness, just remember not to scratch or pick your skin in an attempt to help your skin thru the peeling process.

It has only been one week since I started using this. It is VERY potent and I am noticing much smoother results in just one week! However, I may have overdone it because my face is red and flaking....so I suggest you start with once or twice max a week. Other than that, it is great. :)
