Reviews For SkinCeuticals Retinol 1.0 Maximum Strength Refining Night Cream
Difficult to see if it is working
I use the SkinCeuticals Retinol 1.0 Maximum Strength Refining Night Cream every night but cannot tell if it is having an impact.

SkinCeuticals Retinol 1.0 Maximum Strength Refining Night Cream
This retinol is a little harsh for me, I use it every 3 nights to avoid irritation. Love the consistency though.

Dry Consistency and Awkward Tube Dispenser
Disappointed that this product (1) does not spread easily (consistency too dry) and (2) comes is a tube container that is somewhat awkward for dispensing. I have used Retin A (prescription) and retinol products for years and prefer SkinCeuticals Retinol 1.0 because it’s easier to spread and comes packaged in a more user-friendly dispenser.

Very strong - dried me out
Probably the strongest retinol (or at least one that gave the most adverse reaction) of any product I've ever used. Unfortunately, had to be very sparing and selective of when I used it, as my entire neck and face flaked!

SkinCeuticals Retinol 1.0
I used this product for maybe two years and really liked the results. Then, for whatever the reason may be, I started to get some eczema and now I cannot tolerate it. Once I will be able to use retinol again, I will start out with the much milder strength, the 0.3 and build from there. In the meantime, I am using up the 1.0 strength on my arms, and my arms are looking nicer and nicer. Expensive, but at least I can use up the product.

Very drying
Very drying and not as great as the retinol 0.5 by SkinCeuticals. My skin was too sensitive for 1.0 strength.

Retinol cream
I have used a lot of various “retinal” based creams and products. Some have made my face red and harsh. Which originally turned me off to retinol altogether. But my father is a doctor, and he explained that retinol, in his opinion, and mine now as well, is a must have. This brand and retinol concentrate has done wonders for my skin so far! I would absolutely recommend this product!

Chalky
I've only tried this a few times, but each time, there is a chalky residue and doesn't seem to absorb into my skin.

Not good for sensitive skin
I used this product for 3 months, and it made my skin really dry and flaky. I was following the proper retinol protocol, but the product was too harsh for me. I am now on Retin-A, and that works much better. Not a fan of this product. This product might work for oily skin types.

skinceuticals retinol 1.0
I have very sensitive skin and should have started with .5 before beginning with 1.0. It made my skin very dry and sensitive to other lotions even using it twice a week. I have begun to use it only once a week and will work my way towards more days.
