Best Retinol Cream I've Tried
I've tried several over the counter retinol creams and have built up quite a tolerance to them over the years. This 1% cream by SkinCeuticals has become a repeat order for me. As long as you use this at night and are careful not to use too much at once, I recommend this to anyone looking for more results in a retinol cream. The only negative to this product is its shelf life, which is typically shorter than the time it takes me to use up the product in the tube.

Best Retinol Product Ive used!
If you ever used Retin-A you know that it can be pretty harsh on your skin, causing redness and lots of peeling. This product delivers the retinol in a much gentler way. Start off using it a couple times a week and slowly increase to everyday. It does not remove wrinkles, it just helps to reveal soft, vibrant skin.

1.0 works on the tougher lines
5.0 did not make certain line areas turn red (important step to turn-over the new skin) but was perfect for other areas not so tough. 1.0 did the tough job gently and effectively! In the past I have always used a prescription strength Retinoid cream. But due to the tremendous increase in cost, my dermatologist recommended trying SkinCeuticals Retinol 1.0. My skin had to get "used to the product" and I did this by using it only a couple times a week at first. It is powerful stuff! But now I am seeing the benefits, softer skin, more "luminous" skin. Best retinol product you can get !!
Love this product! Makes the skin feel smooth, soft and exfoliates. I started out using the 0.5 formula first twice a week it took me 6 months to be able to use it every nigh a few month later I started using this 1.0 formula but when you get to this one you need to use it every other day until you skin gets used to this stronger formula and once it does ...your skin will love it . Retinol can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight, so always wear your SPF.

Just what my skin needed
Love it! Used tretinoin .5% off and on for many years - originally prescribed for skin congestion. The Skinceuticals Retinol 1% has taken years off my face - I am 40 years old. I cautiously used a VERY small amount every other day for 8 days (4 applications) and saw fantastic results - smoother skin, "dullness" vanished, and unevenness in my skin tone was drastically improved. I wouldnt say it made my pores smaller, per se, but certainly less obvious because of the general, overall improvement. I used my Clarisonic each day to help exfoliate off the flaking skin. Peeling/flaking is good! Its how you reveal the fresh skin. I can only imagine, however, that if you globbed this on your face, youd tear it up! Tread carefully but dont miss out!

While not an inexpensive item, this delivers a good amount of retinol at a competitive price. Many retinol creams are priced the same or higher and actually have less active ingredient than this product. If you are a regular retinol user, this will not disappoint. If you are new to retinol, you may want to try a milder formula.

Effective and non-irritating
I "graduated" to the 1.0 after going through a tube of the 0.5. I started using these products after getting away from retionoids due to the hassle-factor of needing a prescription. I alternate this every other night with the Obagi C-peptide complex serum and my skin is not irritated or dried out with this combination. I think the overall texture and appearance of my skin is improved. It seems to keep my skin glowing and staves off new fine lines (Im 43).
