The HA5 goes on smoothly and has a silicone finish. It will NOT give you a dewy look but rather a matte finish. I have dry sensitive skin and have not broken out or had any skin irritation. I do notice my skin is moderately hydrated. Also, there is no smell to the product which is nice. Overall, I think the HA5 Hydrator is a good, solid product from SkinMedica, but I don't think it is extraordinary especially for the price. Can't hurt to give a try and see if this works well for you.

I cannot live without HA5!! At 45 years old, I starting seeing a dermatologist to treat my mild rosacea; my skin seemed to be more congested that in year's prior and I just wasn't happy with how it looked. The derm said the best thing I could do for my skin was regular peels because rosacea skin needs extra help with cell turnover. So, I started seeing the anesthetist every 7 weeks and along with gentle mandelic acid peels, she got me on a solid skin care program. I balked at the price of SkinMedica at first. In addition to using thier TNS ceramide treatment cream as my daily moisturizer, she got me hooked on HA5. My skin drank it in. I didn't know how badly my skin craved hyalarounic acid until I started using it. Today, I am 48 years old and people regularly guess my age as 36 years old. I swear it's the combo of those chemical peels, a good anti-aging skin care regime and that HA5. I recommend buying the large size when there is a sale. It will last you 6 months and you save more $$$ in the long run. It's a winner!!
