I switched from using a retinol serum to using this retinaldehyde serum because I read that retinaldehyde requires only one conversion to turn it into retinoic acid instead of the two conversions that retinol requires. It is also gentler. This product has such an elegant formulation and feels wonderful on my skin. I don't get any irritation at all. I use 2 pumps for my face, neck and the back of my hands every night. When the pump stops, I cut the tube open to scoop out any remaining product for a few days. It is expensive, but I love it and will continue using it. I appreciate the sales.

I love the slip of this product, application glides on skin, and one pump is sufficient for me. The product absorbs beautifully. I limit use to 2x per week as I do find using this more often will generate some redness with peeling in my sensitive nasolabial fold area. Overall, my skin texture and smoothness has improved using the SuzanOBAGIMD system, cleanser, toner, IDR, and Revitance. Prior to using this product, I would get one or two deep cystic pimples that took significant time to clear and heal the resulting red spot. Since using these products, I haven't had a cystic breakout. I do still get the one or two periodic pimples but they don''t surface, are not deep seeded and thankfully not visible and vanish quickly.
