I purchased a full sized product after using a sample. I have been dealing with significant breakouts during the pandemic. I believe its not only stress, but also wearing a mask all day at work. The product's fragrance is pleasant, and not too strong. It feels light on my skin. I use other active products in an attempt to stave off breakouts, and have had an increase a week after using this regularly. I thought the lighter weight of this product compared to my previous moisturizer, combined with the acne control ingredients would be beneficial. Now I'm wondering if it's too much. So far, I’m very satisfied with this product. My biggest skin issues are hormonal acne and the hyperpigmentation it leaves behind. I was drawn to this product specifically because it contains vitamin C to help with dark spots along with salicylic acid to fight oily skin and blemishes. I have been using it for about 3 weeks and have had no new breakouts, my existing breakouts have disappeared and the hyperpigmentation is already starting to lighten up. Overall my skin tone looks a lot more smooth and even. So I initially liked this moisturizer. However, after a few days of use it started to break me out and cause my skin to look inflamed. Now, I know some people can purge from using anything with an “active” but I have used and still continue to use Salicylic Acid daily. I just think it did not work for me unfortunately. I have finally found an acne system for adult acne that addresses all of my issues and doesn’t irritate my skin. I’m almost 40 and have oily, acne prone skin. I had been using another considerably more expensive line and after years of use I had a horrible reaction to it. I needed to find another line quickly and researched Vichy. All of their products are gentle and effective and this treatment is no different. It’s very light and doesn’t irritate or leave skin sticky. I use the cleanser, the purete toner, vitamin c and this and I’m done. 4 easy steps. Occasionally I need more moisture and will use the EltaMD light moisture over this. I use this at night occasionally on nights when I need a break from retinol or my afaLUXE treatments. This line is really a lifesaver and I’m so happy to have found it. If you struggle with adult acne, oily skin and aging give it try. It’s worth it to see if it works for you. I will continue to use this acne line and try other Vichy products as long as my skin stays happy!
