My dermatologist prescribed Viviscal as part of my hair loss treatment, along with 5% minoxidil. I had been using minoxidil prior to seeking assistance from a dermatologist. I have been using Viviscal for 60 days and have noticed the following benefits as compared to just the minoxidil alone: increased hair growth (can tell by the amount of grey roots and fly-aways from growth), hair density is getting better, still fine (used to have thick, coarse hair), not as much shedding in the shower and hair is shinier. I’ve been using viviscal pro for a couple of years now on and off. Every time I switch to something else, I can tell the difference pretty quickly. My thin hair falls flat and doesn’t look as shiny. My nails also get brittle and break easily. But once I switch back to viviscal, within a few weeks my hair looks so much healthier and I have less breakage and fallout in the shower. I also need more frequent haircuts because it grows so fast. My hairdresser can’t believe how long my hair gets now in between cuts.
