I've never had an allergic reaction to any skin product or food or animal or...anything. But a day after using Sunday Riley's CEO Brightening Serum and their Hydration Cream, my eyes began to itch. The itching spread to my forehead, face, ears. neck, hair...and eventually turned into a light rash. LIke "prickly heat." My doctor has suggested a low dose of steroids to bring down the inflammation and itching.

This is my first Vitamin C product therefore it’s hard for me to compare since I haven’t really used any other products. I was going back and forth between this product and another from a different brand. I love my retinol from Sunday Riley so I thought I’d automatically fall in love with this one as well. I notice my face breaks out a little after applying, it’s too sticky for my taste, and the consistency is heavy and hard to apply. I feel as if it doesn’t melt/spread as easy as my retinol serum. Since I’ve never used vitamin c before I decided to keep it and finish the bottle but will probably end up trying the one from a different brand just to compare. Who knows? Maybe I’ll come back to this but so far I have mixed feelings about it. I can usually feel a difference with a product because my skin will just look flawless but with this product it’s hard for me to feel that way. Maybe it takes time as well so that’s what I will do.
