How to Cover Up a Blemish

Hey guys, welcome back. I’m Kristen and I’m an aesthetician here at LovelySkin. Today on our tutorial video we are going to be talking about how to cover a blemish. This is something everybody usually has to deal with whether they’re going on an important date or they wake up in the morning and somehow it just magically appeared overnight. If you follow these quick steps, then it’s going to be okay and you’re going to have that thing covered.

The first step to covering up your blemish is to cleanse your face and then apply the foundation that you normally use. Then grab a concealer. Today I’m going to be using the Exuviance CoverBlend and I’m just going to take a little bit of this, put a little on the back of my hand like that, grab my concealer brush and put a little bit on. Apply it over the blemish and then just take your fingertip and blend it in. Very simple to do. If something has a little bit more pigment in it, then I like to keep applying thin layers until I get that full coverage that I like.

Next, you want to take foundation or setting powder. Today I’m going to be using the Dermablend Setting Powder. I’m going to be using the transluscent color because this is so universal that anyone can use this shade. I’m going to apply a little bit to my powder brush, tap out the excess so we don’t have a whole bunch caking our skin, and then just tap it on. Just so it’s covering that blemish and not falling off throughout the day.
