I absolutely love this product. I was too skeptical to order, even with all the rave reviews, but after receiving a sample and being able to try it out, I was sold. I haven't experienced any of the brush issues that other reviewers have mentioned, but maybe I haven't used it long enough? Don't know. In any case, I use this almost like a finishing powder instead of a sunscreen as I already use the ColorScience primer which has sunscreen in it. Easy to apply and adds just a hint of color, if you can even call it that...a slight glow might be a better way to describe it. I think this will also be a perfect product during winter when my skin gets really dry as I don't feel it settles-in as much/looks as cakey as some other powders I have used/use.

I did a lot of research on this product and saw nothing but positive reviews. Shockingly, I really didn't like this product at all. It balled up on my skincare products. It looked orange and unnatural. Made a huge mess. There really wasn't that much product in it. And it isn't adequate sun protection and the SPF was the whole reason I got it. Would never repurchase and don't recommend. Use skincare and a liquid sunscreen.

I have combination skin, and a lot of sunscreens leave my T-zone too oily. Yet this powder form takes care of that problem. Until recently, I hadn't realized that Colorscience made a brush-cleaning product - because that was the only thing I didn't care for with this sunscreen. The brush applicator got gunky after awhile. Now I ordered the spray brush-cleaner, and that problem is no more! I also love that I can reapply this highly portable form easily while on the go, and that the SPF is nice and high. It's a great product!

The back can be screwed open for transferring out the powder so that you can wash the brush. There is virtually no expiry dates on these so stock up when there's discount. High SPF
The only reason I purchase this powder is for its high SPF. I have not seen another powder with an SPF this high. I also like that it comes in various colors. However, I wish there were more skin tone options. And the container the powder comes in is USELESS, as is the brush. I unscrew the container, pour the powder into another container, and use a different brush. The product is too pricey, too. Very little powder comes in the container, and it costs a LOT. I am still giving the product 4 stars because of the high SPF and because it comes in different colors, whereas other powders come in a talc white.

How much is enough?
I can tell that powder has been applied, because my skin looks lighter, but I cannot tell how much powder has been applied and if it is enough to provide protection against burning. It is hard to put the lid back on the brush after use. The tube needs a sleeve which will slide up over the brush to hold it in place before the lid is put on. This product has potential, but it is new and has both packaging and application issues to work out before I can rate it any higher.

I really struggled to get any product out of this at all, after intense shaking, swirling etc. The brush is rough, and I removed a lot of my sunscreen and foundation trying to touch it up with this powder. Now I carry a high SPF powder compact with me and use this as an accompanying application brush instead maybe some powder comes through, maybe not, doesn't matter. Would not recommend.

I like to layer my facial sunscreens and had hoped that this product would replace finishing powder in my morning skin care/makeup routine. It didn't quite work out as expected this sunscreen powder provides neither significant coverage nor mattifying properties. Living in south Louisiana, I need all of the sunscreen help I can get. My routine is to use Skinceuticals sunscreen first, then a light layer of foundation and then finish it off with a very light dusting of Colorscience. This routine has really kept the sunspots away and provided excellent sunscreen coverage. I found the brush applicator awkward to use so, I emptied the contents into a container and use my nice powder brush.

I'm in love with this mineral sunscreen SPF 50. I have tried so many sunscreens, but this is my favorite. I had previously used Jane Iredale's mineral sunscreen powder which is nice, however, it does not contain as much sun protection (zinc oxide) as this one. Some powders sink into wrinkles on older skin. I am 65 years old and I can tell you this powder does not. It makes my skin look beautiful. You won't be disappointed with this wonderful product.
