Great mineral sunscrreen
This is my first purchase of this product, although I am a fan of their matte eye shadows. Ipurchased the medium. It is translucent for my lt-med skintone. It is not cakey no matter what time I day I apply it or how much makeup I have on (I typically wear a tinted moisturizer & powder). I am pleased with this as it is simply portable, quick and easy to apply.

So convenient to keep in my bag and reapply as necessary. In hot and sunny Houston, my daily commutes can even leave me with a sunburn, and this stuff saves me on my way home everyday. My only gripe is I wish there were one with no tint/color at all. My boyfriend would be more keen to use it if it were white/clear I think. Also, sometimes it gets on my clothes and would probably be easier to get off if it werent tinted. All in all, a great product. Just wish it werent so expensive. When you use it daily on your face and chest, & sometimes arms & shoulders, you spend A LOT of money on this stuff.

I have been using this product for a long time and I love it. I recently switched from the 30 SPF to 50 SPF. I have melasma so sunscreen is critical. I layer this over a zinc-based lotion sunscreen and re-apply it all day to be sure I am always protected. I keep one in my purse, one in my car, and one at my desk since I work next to a large window. It goes on beautifully, and is great for my skin, which tends to be greasy. My husband--who is very fair and burns easily--has used it alone with no other sunscreen and it is extremely effective.

All sunscreens instruct to reapply every 2 hours, but with liquid formulations this is too inconvenient - especially over makeup. This is one of my all time favorite products!

Powder Sunscreen
I cant say how this performs alone as I do use a 50 SPF creme underneath it but I think it has performed well. I tried this out on the job where I am in the sun for eight hours a day. I do a lot of brisk movement and sweat a lot which tends to wash my sunscreen away. The fact that this is a powder I think helps it stay in place and set the creme sunscreen I wear underneath it. I tap this product all over my face before I buff it in to get a good amount of product on. It is a little difficult to tell how much product is coming out as it is sheer and the brush is a little weird. That is why I tap it on first before buffing it in. I have found that works the best for getting an adequate amount of product. If you are expecting a lot of coverage (for blemishes and such) like a foundation would give you, this isnt the best product, but for sun protection, I give it a thumbs up!

I recommend this product for everyday, but not as a vacation sunscreen. I took it with me to Cancun this year and found that I had to keep reapplying because it didn't hold up on sweaty skin or in the water. After reapplying so many times it ruined my brush and I can't clean it until I'm out of the product and ready to order a refill. Great for everyday use at home though!
