I used this product as directed every day for a week and found it was too harsh for my sensitive skin. My t-zone became red and dry, so I stopped using it until my skin returned to normal. I have gone back to using it only a couple of times a week, and it seems fine as long as I gently wash my face. It exfoliates well and a little bit of powder goes a long way.

I am not a fan of "beauty blogger standard phrases,"However, this has become my so-called "staple" product in the last 5 years. Previously, when I lived in a dryer climate, I would use it ~3 times a week for a deeper cleanse/ light exfoliation. Now, living in hot and humid environment, my skin tends to be a bit more oily, and I prefer use it in the morning as my skin "wake-up" routine. It is very gentle, won't strip you but will gently exfoliate and prep the skin to absorb all the toners and hydration afterwards. if you had a very heavy make up, you may want to use it as your step-2 cleanser. You must add enough water to make it into a foamy paste. Otherwise, the powder will be grainy and not pleasant for more sensitive skin. It takes a bit of getting used to, as the product dispenser does not help with dosing, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty straightforward.

I had a facial that turned out nicely and asked what was used. She recommended this product. I don't really enjoy the hassle of the powder and mixing with water to get a paste and would prefer a product that is ready to use. I do think this is helpful for my skin and does not make it irritated or break out. I will continue to use it until I find something else. The Superfoliant by Dermalogica is catching my eye now.
