Not every day but often enough to continue looking for a dependable sunscreen, this caused redness and irritation in addition to a mild white cast. I don’t usually have a bad reaction to zinc oxide, so I’m not sure how to account for this unwelcome side effect. I’m trying another EltaMD sunscreen. We’ll see.

Ok, I know the EltaMD Clear is the one you're supposed to use for oily, acne-prone skin, and I used it for years and loved it... except for the pilling. It would always pill, and I would spend a few minutes every morning brushing it off after it had absorbed. I finally asked my dermatologist about it, and she gave me a sample of the UV Daily to test out. I used it once and am sold - no pilling! And it's so smooth and sheer on my face with no shine. So glad I tried it out!

So I just received this yesterday and I decided to try it this morning. I normally use the Elta spf 46 sunscreen, I was so surprised when I put it on my hands, it seriously melted right in and there is no stickiness and no hint of white residue. I had to check the label because I didn’t think it was zinc. It also has hyaluronic acid so that’s a plus as well. This is my new favorite

I like this product for sun protection because it is lightweight, it does not feel greasy or heavy, and it gives me just the right amount of moisture. I don't like a lot of "moisturizer" in my sun protection, as I get enough with my other skin products, but this offers a lightweight amount. I especially like to use it on my neck, and it does not get residue on my collars or clothing. It also has a decent amount of zinc oxide in it which is the gold standard for sun protection.
