I have rosacea and have tried numerous (expensive) sunscreens that are either too oily or too thick. I finally found a dermatologist who recommended EltaMD UV Broad Spectrum SPF40 and said it was the one that she herself wore daily. I was thrilled to see that LovelySkin carried it because I trust products from LS. This one is a winner!! It is light and goes on and in quickly, does not interfere with make-up, and so far has been gentle enough for my rosacea not to act up. I think this will be a keeper for a while. LS sent a sample of the tinted product (thank you LS), but I really prefer the untinted which allows me to add my own makeup and color over it easily without any piling or buildup. Great product!!

I bought this to replace the SPF 45 when it was discontinued. I had used the SPF 45 for years and it worked very well. This sunscreen doesn't work. I used it the same as I use to use the SPF 45 on my chest and arms daily. I got the worse sunburn/sun rash on my skin from using this that I had to go out and buy a different brand. Don't risk using it.

Great for acne prone skin
I had been looking for a good spf for a while now especially with summer coming in strong this year, but I could never find a product that worked with my skin. For reference, I have sensitive skin that is very much acne prone. I had tried out various spf products and they all seemed to cause major breakouts shortly after applying or within the next couple of days. And I knew it was the spf because that’s the only thing that would change in my skin care whenever I would have those breakouts. I heard a lot about this product and that it was ideal for my skin type and skin problems so I decided to try it. It is super light weight which is the thing I love most about it. I feel like when we all think of SPF we think of something heavy, sticky or leaving behind residue but this was quite the opposite. I wear this alone every day or under makeup on days I actually want to get ready more. I never get a white cast as I would from regular spf and because it’s so smooth and lightweight I feel like I never have issues with building on foundation over it or the feel of it pilling. Best of all and the main reason why I was so adamant on trying it, my skin has taken very well to it and it hasn't clogged my pores or caused me to break out. I was a little skeptical because of the price range but for someone who has tried a lot of spfs to no avail, I was willing to splurge a little more to finally settle for something that was going to effectively meet my needs and expectations. LovelySkin did offer better pricing than competitors for this product though and it was free shipping so I would continue to purchase from here. I saw them offering discounts on eltaMd the other day so I will definitely be sure to stock up during the next sales as well.
