A hidden gem for light-med to med-deep skin: skip foundation if you want!
I'm on my fifth tube. This all-mineral tinted sunscreen outperforms every mineral sunscreen I've ever tried in every way: it does not sting, bother my eyes, dry my skin, suffocate my skin, pill, make a hot mess, settle in or exacerbate fine lines, oxidize, or leave a cast. I can't wear chemical sunscreen; my skin care regimen is too aggressive. (All the more reason to use this without fail!) For reference, my skin is dry (arid environment, tretinoin nightly, Vit C daily), "mature," neutral med olive (Armani Silk 6.25). This tint works for me, but if it did not, I would mix this with another mineral sunscreen until I got a color match -- because it works as well as or better than foundation: evens skin tone, does not settle into fine lines, and appears skin-like. Try two thin layers. The result is my skin, but better. Wait 5-15 minutes for it to dry down and sink in. It may look greasy or shiny at first. Wait. (And if oily/in a humid environment, maybe skip moisturizer and/or apply to not-moist skin. It works great for me that way in humid environments.) A winner!

I love this product. I wear it everyday on top of my Theraplex moisturizer and Replenix green tea cream. I don't like to wear makeup so I consider it to be my makeup and skin protectant all-in-one. On the days when I'm lazy or in a rush and don't put it on - there is a noticeable difference as my face mask rubs on my bare skin and feels like sandpaper. I wear it all year long. It provides great coverage at the pool and I never lap-swim without it. It hides my Rosacea redness and makes my skin look really nice and healthy. ( I have purchased this numerous times. The only reason that I am giving it a 4 star rating is because the pump doesn't work and I have to unscrew the cap and tap the product onto my fingertips - this makes application annoying and messy. I recently switched from a chemical sunscreen to a physical mineral sunscreen. I had a hard time finding one that didn’t leave a white pasty finish. EltaMD physical tinted sunscreen is amazing. The product itself is excellent. Covers easily and my skin is protected. No burning and the tint is nice. My only complaint is the delivery of the product. I could not give that fifth star because you have to prime the pump and when you do it squirts out and is wasteful or just messy. If it was just once that wouldn’t be such a issue but it happens often.It’s easier to unscrew the lid. I just think for the price I shouldn’t have to do that. I will say lovelyskin.com customer service has been more than helpful and very fair making sure I was completely satisfied. That was nice!

My dermatologist had recommended this sunscreen to me a while ago and for whatever reason I have tried every other sunscreen and then finally decided to try this one- why did I wait?! This sunscreen is just about perfect! It blends into the skin beautifully, wears well under makeup, and has a gorgeous finish on the skin. It is the right balance between moisturizing and not greasy. There is a new EltaMD mineral sunscreen and I am wondering what is the difference between this one and the new one. I will definitely repurchase this sunblock.

So far I like this sunscreen. My favorite is really Elta’s chemical sunscreen the UV clear. However I no longer want to use chemical sunscreens, physical sunscreens are more effective immediately (don’t have to wait 15 minutes before sun exposure) this was a good bet and I am pleased but not totally satisfied. As a brown skinned woman I need a good tint and this is close but not a match. It leaves no white cast and gives me moisture, plays well with others. I like another sunscreen from a different site that has come very close to perfect, the price and quantity were turn offs so I tried this. For me the tint needs more brown/yellow tone not so much pink tones and it would be just right. Very good nonetheless so I will repurchase.

This is great sunscreen. Especially being a physical blocker sunscreen, it doesn’t feel too heavy (even for someone like myself with oily and acne prone skin) and blends in easily. For a tinted sunscreen, it has pretty nice coverage also. Overall I love the product but the pump is horrible! I could barely get anything out even from the first time I used it. Now I just unscrew the top to get it out, so not a big deal but I think it is something Elta should improve!
