Untinted Product Has a White Cast
The untinted version is a great all-mineral formula that spreads smoothly but leaves a shiny white cast on my skin. It stays white for the entire day regardless of whether it’s spread thick or thin. A matte-finish foundation or SPF is needed on top to normalize the ghost-like complexion.

Decent
I usually use the EltaMD Elements tinted but needed an untinted sunscreen. I liked that the Restore also has no pore clogging ingredients, however it’s much heavier than Elements. It has a greasy feel and doesn’t soak in well. I’ll use it since I can’t return it but I probably will not repurchase.

Good formulation, but TOO Orange for my skin
I liked the formulation, but the color was way off and it looked like I was wearing the wrong color foundation. If this matches your skin color exactly, I could see it working. I don't mix my sunscreens because I don't know how that will affect the integrity of the formula so if I cannot wear it on its own then I can't wear it at all. I also do not wear foundation or concealer with my sunscreen, so I cannot cover up with orange tint.

Love the idea, but some flaws
Love that it combines sunscreen and skincare. The tint may not work for a lot of skintones. I also had to stop using because I developed an allergy to Ethylhexylglycerin.

Not my favorite EltaMD product
UV Restore untinted sunscreen leaves a bit of white cast, despite adding small amounts at a time & rubbing in. If wearing foundation over it, no problem. For a no makeup day, I prefer the untinted UV Daily or Clear from their line. Definitely need moisturizer under the Restore, for smooth makeup application. I don't have plans to buy Restore again after finishing this tube.

Probably would not purchase again
Color is very warm. It does have good coverage and the texture is nice but I found it takes a lot of time to blend into the skin and look natural

Not sure about product
I find that this is a little dark for my skin. It also doesn’t cover the redness of my skin. I probably won’t buy again. It is probably ok for a darker skin tone than mine or if you need minimal coverage.

Meh
This made my skin really shiny and greasy looking and it’s hard to smooth into skin. However, I noticed later that night my skin did feel a little softer than usual. It’s hard to find a good face SPF.

EltaMD Facial Sunscreen
It was just okay for me. Too heavy though and I would never wear it under make up. I just thought I would try something different. I will go back to and stick with the all time favorite EltaMD UV Clear 46. It is the very best.

Not my favorite
I've been using Elta MD, UV Physical, Broad spectrum SPF 41 and UV Daily Broad spectrum SPF 40, both physical sunscreens. I decided to try a new product and it just doesn't work for me. This UV Restore just sits on top of my skin no matter how long I wait for it to absorb. I trust that I'm getting protection but I prefer the other products I mentioned. This could work for some people but I didn't have any luck with it.

Average Product
This product to me is just average. I used tinted sunscreens with a bit more color coverage. For the price though, it is not bad.

Just okay
I was so excited when this product came out due to the safety and good ingredient list, however I was disappointed only because it felt so greasy and never did really absorb in. But, I do know that as a line the EltaMD products are AMAZING!

Wasn’t impressed
I was really eager to try this sunscreen because it checked off all my boxes: physical filters, great tint for warmer undertones, and not drying like many zinc oxide based sunscreens can be. I hater the way this felt on my face though. Goopy, and never felt like it ever really settled in and absorbed. Also, while I like a glowy finish, this veered a bit much into the greasy category. Lots of people like this and I don’t think it’s a terrible product. But I prefer more liquidy sunscreens.

Okay
Good sunscreen. Just don't care for the texture on this one. But I will use it for outdoor activities.

Not bad
Very easy to apply on the face. I like the texture. But the color is bit brownish orange to me.

Greasy
Not a fan of this item. It is thicker and feels greasy upon application. I prefer the EltaMD UV Elements facial sunscreen.

Still prefer EltaMD Daily
For years, I used EltaMD Clear sunscreen but, as I've gotten older, my skin is starting to get a bit drier and the Clear seemed to be a bit too drying for my skin. I switched over to the Daily sunscreen and have been really happy with it but wished EltaMD would produce something like the Daily sunscreen but without the chemical sunscreen. I was really excited about this new launch of an all-mineral sunscreen but it hasn't worked out that well for me. I find it to be even more drying than the Clear and it actually stings a bit when I apply it despite the fact there are no chemical sunscreens in this, so I suspect there must be another ingredient in it that causes the stinging sensation. I think I'll be sticking with my EltaMD Daily for now.

Like BB cream but the color is off
I really wanted to love this sunscreen! Due to melasma I prefer a physical sunblock. This sunblock goes on like a BB cream. It is lighter in weight and provides a nice moisturizer but the tint is darker than the Ulta MD physical block I use. It gives my skin a fake suntan or orange glow that I did not care for. I will use the sunblock around the house but would not repurchase. It may work for others skin tone so a sample would be worth trying.
