This is a pricey sunscreen stick. I bought to use on the backs of my hands when playing tennis to keep my palms dry. It is very tough to apply - you have to press quite hard and definitely leaves a white, chalky residue. I would never be able to apply this to my face and I am just about as pale skinned as you can be. Due to the lack of "glide" it is quite difficult to even spread the product. I will keep using it - serves its limited purpose for me - but for the price there are definitely better sticks on the market. I am happy that at least I purchase when LoveySkin was running a promo and didn't pay full price.

No love for this EltaMD Sunscreen
Wanted to live this, even like it, but sadly I don't. I thought this would be a great travel sunscreen and tried it out this morning. The main issue is you can't tell where the stick is applying sunscreen to your skin. I used it on my arms and shoulder and since it goes on invisible, I was afraid I had missed lots of areas. I tried rubbing it over my arms but it didn't glide like their other products in a tube or pump so not sure how well this disbursed over my skin. Don't recommend this product, love their other sunscreens.

White cast and hard to apply
I love the UV Clear Tinted Moisturizer so I figured I would love this roll on as much. I was wrong. This has a white cast and does not apply easily. You have to really tug at your skin to make it move. You will also need to rub it in otherwise you have white streaks, especially over makeup. This could have been so much better.

White zinc look
I got this sunscreen for my son as he was going to the BVI and I thought it would be easy for him to apply. He hated it. He said it left a white look on him where ever he applied it so he didn’t want to wear/use it. Luckily I had bought a couple of other EltaMD sunscreens for him to use that didn’t leave a white zinc look. I would not purchase again.

Let me start by saying this product really needs to be warmed up before you attempt to apply to your skin. It has a pulling a dragging feeling if you go right in. I also experienced a white cast and a horrible paste smell. I couldn’t find anything I liked about it besides the fact that it was elta md. I returned it as soon as I could. I will stick with my ride or die mineral sunscreen !!

I’ve been using other Elta MD products for years and I thought I’d try this I was hoping the stick would glide across my face for easy application on the go. It does not glide at all, but instead pulls across my face and has a sticky residue. I’ll use it for the back of my hands when driving in the car, but not on my face. From now on I’ll stick with the pump.

Was super excited to try this, as I had seen a number of “Instagram skin guru gals” review and rave about this. For me it was WAY too sticky and tacky, and definitely left a white cast (which I know is pretty much par for the course with mineral spf). I have majorly problematic skin and chemical spf is very irritating for me. I’ve basically tried every mineral spf there is and do love other elta MD spf products. This was a no for me. I don’t see how someone could wear makeup over this or even just leave it on a bare face, it was so sticky and thick and made me look like a ghost.
