Initially, I wasn't a big fan of this stick. But I've come to depend upon it. I was looking for something to easily apply to the backs of my hands without getting a lotion all over the face of my hands as I inevitably end up touching my eyes and getting sunscreen into my eyes. This stick is great for that purpose. However, it is hard and it took a few uses until it softened enough to easily apply it. I use another Elta MD product for my face and neck so I haven't tried this there but I doubt I'd like it because of the firm consistency.

I bought this to take on a beach vacation and was pleased. It is very easy to apply and is smaller than I was expecting but that made it easy to carry and always have it with me. It worked great on noses and lips and my only complaint is that it does leave a white residue if you don't rub it in a little. I will likely purchase again due to the quality of the product and the size.

It is quite small, and that shocked me for a minute. The application was easy. For use on the face, I'd suggest gliding it outward towards your ear. I am quite dark-skinned so there was some white cast, nothing ghostly though. This doesn't bother me because I use it under makeup and it applies like a primer. It is quite sticky, so if you don't like the feeling on your face, I'd skip this one. Gave it four stars because I like mineral sunscreens and this one is great for the no-mess reapplication, but the size is ridiculous.
