Gentle on any skin
Very gentle on my sensitive acne prone skin. This cream helps me to exfoliate my face without any peeling or after redness. I mix with moisturizer and also use it on the back of my hands. Great for sun spots.

Gentle for sensitive skin!
I've only been using this gel for about two months, but so far, I'm very pleased. I've tried Rx-strength tretinoin, but my skin couldn't tolerate it. I even had trouble with Rx-strength adapalene in the past, but this over-the-counter gel has been working great. I had no redness, dryness, or peeling, even with nightly use. I also didn't have any "purge" period of breakouts. (I did use a thick moisturizer.) It's too early to say how effective the gel is at improving my skin texture and color, but I want to say I've seen some improvements.

Great retinol for sensitive skin!
I was about to give up on finding a retinol/retinoid until my dermatologist recommended this one. I had tried all kinds of high end brands that were supposed to be gentle, but they all made my face angry. I am SO HAPPY I decided to give this one a try. I started off with 2x a week, and after a few weeks went to 3x a week. Within 2 or 3 weeks, I noticed my skin looked and felt really smooth, and it pretty much eliminated all of my breakouts, including hormonal! I still can’t believe it. I’ve only been using it for 2 months and can’t wait to see how much more my skin improves with continued use. I do put a light moisturizer on before applying this, and it has helped reduce any of the usual negative side effects like redness, dryness, etc. This retinol is unlike any other on the market and will help with fine lines too. So if you’re like me and haven’t had luck with other retinols in the past, definitely give this one a try. Also, the price can’t be beat, especially for the amount of product you get. Love love love!

Adapalene for acne treatment and anti-aging
I use this in conjunction with Benzoyl Peroxide, and this has truly helped control my acne. Adapalene is also anti-aging, I have noticed an improvement on my fine lines and overall texture of my skin. I like the consistency of the gel compared to the more popular brand.

Better than prescription gels
I started with severe acne at age 50. I have tried almost every topical medication there is with disappointing results. I am so happy that I decided to try the La Roche-Posey Effaclar Adapalene Gel 0.1% Acne treatment. It has reduced my oil production by more than half and I have not had any areas where the oil collects under the skin causing large raised areas that take weeks to go away. I am extremely pleased with the results of this gel. I do use a light application twice a day and have not had a problem with over drying.

Great for Acne prone skin
I started using this instead of another over the counter adapalene gel. It is not drying like other brands I have used. I use this at night with my nightly moisturizer. I will be buying again as I never want to run out of this product.

My Maskne cure!
I've had some problems with maskne amid the pandemic, and this product has been a lifesaver. I use it every night under my moisturizer and it keeps my acne at bay. I didn't think it was working at first and stopped using it, but I was wrong! I started using it again and after two or three days my skin was back to feeling normal. I can't live without this in my routine!

Best acne spot treatment
It is a very good product, you must use it according to the instructions and do not forget your sunscreen. You must use a good moisturizer, it irritates the face quite a bit. But the results are incredible, my acne improved a lot.

Cleared up my hormonal acne!
This really helped clear up the acne I was experiencing around my chin and jaw, and didn't cause any irritation. It's a product I'm going to keep on hand from now on! Use a thin layer of moisturizer before and after using it to avoid irritation. Helped my skin so much!

Works Great!
Works great on teenage skin. My teens use this nightly. My dermatologist also thought it was a great choice for teenage acne.

Have on hand always, use when I have breakouts on my face, and nice to use as a Retin A cream at night.

The Best Adapalene Product
I much prefer this to the Differin Adapalane Gel. The texture is a little more smooth, more glide on the skin, and absorbs a little more quickly. I have used two small 15 ml tubes of the Differin prior to this product coming on the market. I buffer this over moisturizer (La Roche Posay Toleriane Double Repair + Cicaplast Baume. I really like this one, and this brand; specifically the Toleriane range. I highly recommend this Adapalene because you can frequently get 20% off here on LovelySkin, and the texture is superior to Differin. These Adapalene gels are not identical.

Effective with consistent use
I've been using this product for 3 months now. It does cause some purging and I have not experienced any irritation. I'm seeing increased skin clarity and my breakouts are definitely reduced in severity. My skin is not completely clear, but I will continue to use as I think the benefits will increase with time. The key to using this is consistency and giving the product sufficient time to work--it won't produce results overnight.

Good for Smooth Skin
I have used Adapalene Gel 0.1 for years, but the La Roche-Posay brand is the best I have used. I use it mainly to help with whiteheads and sun damage. It definitely helps and La Roche-Posay seems not to irritate my skin as much as other brands. It is best to use moisturizer 5 to 10 minutes after applying it so as to reduce irritation.

I used for my back acnes.
I used for my back acnes. I applied on my skin after I took shower. This maybe helped to stop more breakouts but I didn't feel dramatic curing or changing. Still a good product though. I like this gel texture.

No issues
I apply this product after my night time moisturizer and have had no issues with flaking or peeling. It smoothes over skin easily and soaks in quickly. I gave a four because despite consistent use, I have not seen improvement in my acne, however, I have noticed improvement in my acne scarring from past blemishes.

Be patient, it works
I am pleased with the low price point of this vitamin A derivative, compared to retinol or even a retinol prescription. I have been using it for a couple months and never went through a purge period like others. I will keep using and have purchased a backup.

Works well
I’ve had cystic type acne breakouts all my life & am still having trouble into my 60s with at least a monthly problem. I’ve tried many products. I tried this product 3 months ago and no more breakouts of what I call underground pimples that won’t go away for weeks! The product goes on well & dries quickly. My only complaint is that it is a bit drying (I have sensitive skin) even though I use a face cream but using the face cream twice a day has helped this problem which is well worth it! I would highly recommend this product.

Sticky
I decided to try this after so many reviews described it as more moisturizing than Differin. I didn't find it more moisturizing--just very sticky. I will go back to Differin when this tube is used up.
