It is a gel cream consistency that goes on easily, twice a day, and is absorbed quickly. It does not cause any breakouts and creates an even skin tone while fading dark splotches. This is the first product that actually had an effect on my hyperpigmentation! I used a prescription from my dermatologist for two full years, and nothing. After using this for only two weeks, I noticed the spots started to fade. I ran out and now have reordered, but while I didn't have the product, the spots got darker again. I hope that this is just a temporary reaction and that if I use it consistently for a few months, the brown spots will fade, and continue to fade. I'm hoping to get to a point where I only have to use it once a week.

I have hyperpigmentation, and I have been using Lytera 2.0 for 1 year now. I think it is a good serum, but it needs time and patience. Nothing works overnight, so it's a little bit pricey but give it a try. I really have bad skin, and I try everything you think of.
