Just ok
This product is just OK. It doesn't keep my skin as vibrant, clear, and bright as other 0.5 retinol products. I'm going back to another brand.

Still on the fence
I’m not sure if I will continue to use this product as after one application it made my face dry and irritated. I will maybe use once a week to build up a tolerance.

Too strong for me
This product has great ingredients but it was too strong for me. I've used retinol before and in higher percentages without issues but this product irritated my skin. I do have sensitive skin but I was surprised at how badly my skin reacted.

Too Strong for Sensitive Skin
I normally order the SkinMedica Retinol Comples in the 0.25 strength - which has never caused any problems for my very sensitive skin. I decided to move up to the 0.5 strength and quickly discovered that it caused burning and peeling and itching. After my skin recuperates I'll reorder it in the 0.25 strength. The lesson learned for those of us with sensitive skin is to figure out what your maximum strength is and then stay there.

Too intense for me
I started out with the lower concentration and worked my way up to this. I couldn't stand the peeling stage - too drying and uncomfortable. I don't think retinol is for me.

Not a Retinol girl, I guess
I find this irritating to my skin even though it is a low dose of active ingredients. I’ve come to the conclusion that my skin is just too sensitive. But I’m betting it works wonders when used regularly on someone who doesn’t have to guard their skin as much. I say this because after all, it is SkinMedica. :)

It’s okay
I decided to try this brand instead of another 0.5 that I use. At first it seemed okay, but I did end up getting a retinol burn. I take the blame for that, but….. I also notice that my face feels tacky (after PM use) after washing in the AM. I will continue to use it as these items are not cheap, but I do not plan to purchase it again.

SkinMedica Retinol Complex 0.5
This is good for Retinol starters. But if you're trying to use it for moderate acne, you need something stronger like the 1%. Hoewever, their 1% created a map on my face a while back.

Too strong
This was my first time using a retinol product, and it was just too potent. I am exchanging it for a lesser level. Hopefully, my skin will be more susceptible to it. I had excessive peeling and drying with this version. Probably a great product just not for me.

SkinMedica retinol
I liked the product as it did what it was supposed to however it did tend to make my skin red for several days after using it. It leaves your skin smooth and clear after the redness goes away

Not sure it''s working,
After reading other reviews, I decided to order the .5 instead of the 1.0. My skin has had no reaction on twice a week or even every other day, so I'm going to go to using it daily. I'm not sure how long it will take to work. I'm careful to use sunscreen.
