I constantly experiment with other seums and toners and this always goes on first after my toners, and absorbs well. I never had a problem with my pump on this first bottle I purchased, and I did take the bottle apart when I finished it to be sure I got every last bit out. It was effectively and already fully dispensed to the last pump when I cut open the bottle. It's pricey, but I'm old enough to know that this one is worth the investment.
