Apply at night to clean face. Hello Thank you for your inquiry. The Senté Even Tone Retinol Cream contains 0.5% encapsulated pure retinol. So this does seem to be a higher strength of retinol. As for whether it would cause irritation we do not know, we would suggest consulting your doctor for any questions on why they made the recommendation.

This Sente Even Tone Retinol Cream has become my new favorite retinol product. I have ordered it four times now and find it to be very effective yet non-irritating. I have been a long time retinol user so I did not experience any redness or other irritations. It is called a cream but is actually very light-weight. I have very sensitive skin and must have fragrance-free products. This one fits the bill.
