Discover which jane iredale products to use to create stunning holiday makeup looks this season.
This season, we put our heads together to come up with a look that a) captures that festive spirit we adore and b) looks phenomenal in photos, naturally! Sit back, click play and learn how to recreate this classic makeup in just minutes with our LovelySkin Aesthetician, Kristen.
1). Before you begin with your eyes, you’ll want to go ahead and complete your regular foundation and concealer routine. Or even a stepped up version that involves highlighting and contouring if you’d like. Just hold off on the blush for now. We’ll definitely get to it later. If you’re not sure where to start with foundation and concealer, we highly recommend jane iredale PurePressed Base SPF 15-20 and jane iredale Circle/Delete Concealer. These formulas are mineral-based, wonderful for your skin and they even contain antioxidants to protect against signs of aging.
2). Once you have your skin looking great, grab the jane iredale Eye Pencil In the shade Basic Brown. It might seem a little backwards, but we’ll be lining our top and bottom lash lines first thing. Most of us are used to applying shadow before going in with liner, but adding the pencil liner first creates a gorgeous smoky effect that blends effortlessly when you apply shadow over it.
3). Next, pick up jane iredale PurePressed Eye Shadow in the shade Champagne. Apply it all over the base of your lid, taking care to diffuse it in the corners of your eyes so that they look larger and more awake. You can also bring it up into the crease slightly.
4). Create some dimension with jane iredale PurePressed Eye Shadow in the shade Rose Gold. Sweep it over the outer corner of the eye (about a third) and along the bottom lash line. This instantly softens the deep brown and creates softer, more natural-looking definition.
5). For even more depth, pick up jane iredale PurePressed Eye Shadow in the shade Taupe on your favorite crease brush. Using windshield wiper motions and a light hand, buff it back and forth in your crease until you have no harsh lines.
6). Now that you’ve completed your eyeshadow, reach for the jane iredale Eye Highlighter Pencil. This dual-ended pencil is easy to use, and it’s the best way to add quick shimmer and draw more light to your eyes. Apply it just below your brows and use your finger or a brush to blend away any edges. You’ll top off your eyes with two coats of jane iredale PureLash Mascara in Black Onyx to the top and bottom lashes.
7). Add a cheery glow to your cheeks with jane iredale PurePressed Blush in the shade In Love. Much like the name implies, this hue is all about that romantic glow you get when you’re feeling your happiest.
8). Finally, apply jane iredale PureMoist Lipstick in the shade Rose. We like to call this a soft cranberry shade since it still has a hint of that creamy pink we love in our neutrals, just mixed with a more striking merlot. Now you’re party-ready and ready for your close-up!
Kristen couldn’t be happier with the finished product! She says, “This makeup makes me feel cheery and it’s the perfect look for the season. I would recommend it for all ages. It also looks beautiful with jane iredale PureGloss Lip Gloss.”
Kristen recommends jane iredale products to almost all of her clients at the LovelySkin Spa because they’re hypoallergenic, great for all skin types, including sensitive, and they offer rich pigments that last through any soiree or workday.
