Create the perfect look for all of your selfie needs with this makeup tutorial featuring Youngblood products.
What girl doesn’t want to take THE perfect selfie?! Snapchat videos get a collective six billion daily views, and nine new snaps are shared literally every single second. These numbers will only grow over the holidays, and we want to help you look your best. That’s why we came up with a Snapchat-ready makeup tutorial just in time for the season.
1). Complete Your Regular Foundation and Concealer Routine--With One Little Twist
Prime your face and complete your regular foundation and concealer routine. If you’re looking to try something new, you can find a wide range of unique face formulas here, including Youngblood Mineral Primer, a great first step for lasting makeup.
Now for the twist: grab Youngblood Hi-Def Hydrating Mineral Powder. This powder helps create a flawless photo finish, absorbs oil and creates silky smooth skin. Dip a fluffy powder brush into the container and don’t forget to tap off the excess. As Kristen shows us, the powder is very fine since it’s refined with Youngblood’s specialized milling process. Apply it to your face using circular buffing motions and blend well.
2). Boost Your Glow with a Crème Blush
Nothing says holiday time like a rosy glow. Enhance yours with Youngblood Luminous Crème Blush in the shade Pink Cashmere. We think this natural color has the perfect amount of sheer shimmer. Take a little on your clean finger and use circular motions to apply it to the apples of your cheeks.
Side note: Kristen did quite a bit of off-camera blending to achieve the look you see here. A little of this highly pigmented blush goes a long way! We recommend starting with just a dab and building up the intensity.
3). Define Your Brows
On camera, brows are often the first things to go. By this, we mean they can get drowned out pretty easily, particularly the tails since they taper and get very thin at the outer corners. A little subtle definition can go a long way. Use the lighter color in the Youngblood Brow ARTISTE Kit to define your arch and fill in your brows where needed.
4). Give Your Eyes an Uplifted, Lit-From-Within Look
Eyes are the windows to our souls, after all, and we think they should look their cheeriest to reflect the spirit of the season. For this eye look, we’ll be creating a lifted appearance by placing all the emphasis on our lids and top lash line.
Start by diffusing Youngblood Pressed Eyeshadow in the shade Pink Diamond over the entire lid. We love Kristen’s tip of taking a little down in the inner corner to really highlight and give a wide-eyed appearance.
To add depth, take your crease brush and Youngblood Pressed Eyeshadow in the shade Coco and use a light windshield wiper motion to add it to your crease. Pink Diamond and Coco make a gorgeous pair, so take care to blend the two shades together a little to soften the look.
From here, you can add a little edge with winged liner or define just the upper lash line—whichever makes you feel beautiful. Kristen is using Youngblood Eye-Mazing Liquid Liner Pen in Marron, a deep brown-black and she’s going for an edgy cat eye. Finish your eyes with a coat or two of Youngblood Outrageous Mineral Lengthening Mascara on the top and bottom lashes.
5). Give Your Lips a Kiss of Cranberry
This last step really ups the holiday glam for us. Grab Youngblood Lipstick in Kranberry and apply it to your lips, blotting as needed. A little burgundy and a little berry, this shade makes a for a bold selfie statement.
We love the finished look and we can testify to its staying power. When we visited Kristen at her desk hours later, it looked just as gorgeous as it did when we wrapped up our filming session.
