Makeup Tips for Glasses

Watch as Kristen explains how to apply your makeup and make your eyes pop when you are wearing glasses.

Makeup Tips for Glasses

Video Summary

Hi, guys, welcome back. I’m Kristen, an aesthetician here at LovelySkin, and on today’s tutorial, we’re going to be talking about makeup tips for glasses.

So glasses are a super fun way to change up your look. There’s different styles or frames for every occasion. So let’s get started.

So before you apply any of your eye makeup, the first step is to go ahead and shape your brows. This is going to give the eye area structure. Today, I’m going to be using the GloBrow by glo minerals in the color of Taupe.

So the next step is going to be to do your eyeshadow. So the one tip to remember when you’re doing eye makeup for glasses is to make sure you’re not using any dark shadows. This is going to make your eye makeup look way too heavy and we do not want that. So today I’m going to be using the jane iredale eyeshadow trio in the color of Sweetspot. So as you can see, these shadows are pretty matte, just because if we have a shimmer eyeshadow, it might reflect off of the glasses, causing glare.

So you want to start with the lightest color in the trio and you’re going to apply this all over to the base of your eyelid. Okay, and then to add a definition, you’ll want to always use a darker color to go into the crease. So I’m going to be using this darker brown right up here.

So instead of lining your underneath eyelid with a black or dark color, you want to use more of a lighter peach or white. Today I’m going to be using the GloPrecision in the color of Peach. And you just take the pencil and you line it underneath like you normally would.

So the last step for your look is going to be to do your mascara. So another tip to remember is to actually curl your lashes. This is going to help not hit the rims of your glasses. The mascara I’m going to be using today is the Youngblood, it’s the Outrageous Lengthening Mascara. Another brand new mascara that’s wonderful that we just got into the store is actually the jane iredale, it’s the new lengthening mascara.

Alright, guys, and that’s it. So super simple, easy makeup to do for wearing glasses. As always, you can find all of the products that we used here today on our tutorial at either LovelySkin.com or you can come and visit our retail store. And thank you so much for watching and I’ll see you next time. Bye, guys!
