I had the SPF 46 which is not a mineral sunscreen, and I ran out. I had gotten a sample of this and liked it. It goes on much thicker almost like a foundation, and it gives some coverage. I like the feel and look. Non-greasy. I'll stick with this one.

I've never been a fan of putting on sunscreen until I was introduced to EltaMD UV Clear by my sister. I've been using EltaMD Ultra clear for over 1 year and 1/5 now. I must say that I LOVE it. It's not like any other sunscreen I had used before. It's moisturizing and doesn't give me the white cast. Not too oily, it's perfect. I have normal to dry skin. I have the one in tinted, wish I could have gotten the one in untinted because the tinted one is a bit too orange on me. I am light to medium with warm yellow undertone. make sure blend the sunscreen evenly. I am definitely going to repurchase more Elta MD sunscreen since the prices will be increasing soon. Recommend this sunscreen.

I use Elta UV Clear religiously, but was looking for a tinted sunscreen that could be applied and re-applied on the go during beach days and sight-seeing. This product does the trick! It has a silky-smooth texture and does not pill if you apply patiently. The tint is a great base product. I often wear it as my only base/foundation and then layer concealer and other products if needed. The finish is quite dewy without powder (which I don't use so I can easily reapply the product for refreshed sun protection) but for a natural look it's perfect.

Great sunscreen formula, awful tint
I really love the formula of this sunscreen–it goes on smooth and silky, but not greasy, just like a good tinted moisturizer. This product never irritates my skin. The one drawback is the tint. I have a light, warm-to-neutral skin tone, and on me this looks pure orange, not very attractive. I mix this with a non-tinted zinc sunscreen, and it looks great. Hate the hassle of having to mix, but until I find something better, this will have to do. I don't understand why EltaMD doesn't come out with a lighter version of this, or at least a non-tinted version.

Smooth, better coverage than UV Clear
Depending on what you're looking for, this is a great product. I used to exclusively use tinted UV Clear, but I wanted the tint in my sunscreen to actually look a little more like makeup, and this is a great product for me. It does dry darker than the Clear, and by the end of the day I sometimes feel like it looks a little dry, but a dab of lotion can keep it looking fresher and dewier. Overall very pleased, and it has not broken me out, thank goodness!

I have tried several other well known/popular tinted sunscreens and have been disappointed by them all. Either they weren’t buildable, no coverage at all, too shiny, too white, etc. I really loved my sample of this product though. It covers well with 2 generous applications, I am able to replace my previous SPF foundation with this, and it has a much higher SPF so all the better. The color is perfect, and I prefer it to the SPF 41 tint as that 1 is too drying for me and too white. I only deducted a star because my sensitivity gets under eye area doesn’t seem to like it and after a few hrs it dries that area out and makes it appear older even though I double moisturize the under eye area before applying. I think I can work that out though with a sore rate concealer and eye SPF product. I hope. Also, I do wish it was a bit more matte, but it just looks dewy, not greasy.
