It not only thoroughly cleans my skin but it takes all makeup, including eye-makeup, off in a single wash and it doesnt sting my eyes like most products. I bought this cleanser from my dermatologist who recommended it for my Rosacea. After using it for several years I decided to try the cheaper product found in the stores. My face began to break out immediately so I won't go without even though it's expensive. I think Neostrata is different from the other gentle cleansers out there because it has a very gentle exfoliant in it. The other cleansers for Rosacea are almost too gentle and my face didn't really feel clean.
