So Happy I Tried This Product
I decided to try SC Silymarin CF after discontinuing use of CE Ferulic when it became to strong for my increasingly sensitive, aging skin. So happy I did! I wasn't sure this would work on my combination, late-50's skin, but I use it every morning with great results. My skin can occasionally get dry and flaky with evening use of Retin-A, but only glowing skin with the Silymarin CF.

Great potential
I chose this rather than CE Ferulic because my skin is on the oily side and prone to acne. I did feel it helped to brighten my complexion and possibly reduce some of the oil. Although this is still a relatively new product from SkinCeuticals, it has quickly become my new favorite Vitamin C serum! For those wondering about the differences between this serum and Phloretin CF and CE Ferulic (arguably the 2 of the most popular products from the SkinCeuticals line), Silymarin CF is specifically formulated for oily and acne-prone skin. The formulation in this serum is very similar to CE Ferulic (both contain 15% Vitamin C and .5% Ferulic Acid), but Silymarin CF also contains Salicylic Acid and Silymarin for added exfoliation and antioxidant protection. In the past, I've typically used CE Ferulic during the colder winter months and Phloretin CF during the warm summer months, but now, I've found Silymarin CF to be extremely effective for me year-round. I love pairing this product with the SkinCeuticals LHA Cleansing Gel and Blemish + Age Defense serum, and a sunscreen (I love the Physical Matte UV Defense SPF 50 for those with oily skin!). Silymarin CF is a bit pricey, but worth every penny - I highly recommend it!

I got a sample of this from LovelySkin and had low expectations for it working on my oily, acne-prone skin that is prone to congestion. However, the sample worked very well, so I went ahead and purchased the full bottle. I use it morning under SPF and makeup and at night, and I can honestly say that it helps with healing whiteheads and diminishing the size of cysts. I don't find that it works well with completely eliminating blackheads, but it does a great job of shrinking my pores so that those sebaceous filaments are not obvious. It dries well on my skin and doesn't leave my face oily, so it sits well under liquid foundation.
