If I think I'm staring to break out, I put it on and it prevents the breakout from happening. The only negative is that it's so pricey but you are paying for the gold standard of Vitamin C.

My favorite serum
I will receive a free full-sized Silymarin CF for posting this review. I love this serum! I have tried the CE Ferulic, Phloretin and Serum 10 and all continued to break me out. The Silymarin doesn’t break me out and is a great antioxidant. It’s a bit ‘dry’ feeling so I like using either the retexturizing serum or HA intensifier afterwards to spread it better.

I am a big fan of Skinceuticals products to begin with and was previously using Blemish and Age defense for my aging, acne prone skin. Great vitamin C for breakout prone skin
I used to use SkinCeuticals ferulic religiously and I loved it. My skin, though, is prone to pimples (even though I am in my thirties). Someone suggested I try this serum so I could get the benefits of a top notch vitamin c serum with the added benefit of helping with my breakouts. It’s very similar to ferulic in my opinion, and it does not cause any irritations. My breakouts have lessened overall and I think it is in part due to this product. I definitely recommend it.

Works on acne
I purchased this product a while ago and tried to apply it on the are with acne. It does dry out the skin and help with the breakout. However, it took quite a while for it to work and the result is not as obvious as I hoped. Comparing to the regular vitamin C product, this one is not as impressive but still works.

Quest for clear skin....
I will receive a free full-sized Silymarin CF for posting this review. I'm in my fifties and have had sensitive acne prone skin since I was 12 yrs old. Based on a sample I received from LovelySkin, I been using SkinCeuticals Silymarin CF for about 2 months and the jury is still out on if my skin is benefitting from it. Since receiving the sample, I've purchased the full size- I know these things take time. Since my skin is sensitive I need to use it minimally to avoid irritation but unfortunately the pipette is designed to drop a very large volume of expensive product. I hope SkinCeuticals considers changing this. I actually poured the full size product into the sample container (which included a small better designed pipette) for better control. No one likes to pour their premium serum and money down the drain.
