I bought this product back in November at the recommendation of my dermatologist to help ease the appearance of dark spots on my face. I have used it faithfully as directed twice a day for the past 3 months and have seen no changes. It does smell great and I am still on the same bottle so it lasts a long time but again, I have seen zero improvement in my skin. I'm only continuing to use it because I love the way it smells. :)

Used regularly for over three months in an attempt to lighten the hyperpigmentation on my skin. Didnt notice anything different about the look or feel of my skin. Used along with increasing concentrations of retinol products. Dont plan to purchase again.

I have been using this product for three weeks. In general my skin looks more consistent and brighter, but not for the brown spots. It has not affected those. Also, the plastic pump broke off and now I have product but no way to get to it. I will choose a different product next time.

Does not help melasma
I have melasma, the worst of which is on the sides of my neck. I had hopes that lytera would make a difference. Unfortunately, it made my brown spots red and angry and more noticeable than ever. I tried to see if that is a part of the healing of melasma. That it turns the brown spots red and raised before they fade or disappear but I couldnt find anything on the matter and I couldnt risk that I was just making it worse. It may work on plain old age spots so my rating is on its effectiveness on melasma. I would have thought the treatments would be the same but my experience so far is that it is not.
