At 51 a first time Retinol user! Great Results!
Here is the fact. My skin is 51 years old. But, this product is fantastic! This is the first time I have ever used a retinol product. I had to slow down for the first week and use it every other night and very sparingly followed by a bit heavier evening moisturizer. The results are smoother skin. My makeup wears much more evenly and my skin looks fresh. It has not turned back the years, but it certainly has improved the epidermal texture of my face, neck and décolletage.

I like to try things out long run before I write anything about it. I can tell you that the product works otherwise I wouldnt keep using it. You do however have to ease yourself on to the product. Cant start using it daily when you start off. Started with every 3 day for the first month. Then increased to every 2 days. Now I can use daily. If youve never used retinol, then start with the 0.5 strength. It makes my 55 year old skin smoother and wrinkles are much less noticeable. After a few months of use, I can now wear a BB cream instead of foundation. Its the best you can purchase without a prescription, and for me, it works as well as prescription strength creams. You must use it regularly to achieve the desired results. Like any retinol, if you stop using it, your skin reverts back to its original condition. There are no one tube miracles out there. Too Strong for Me!
I ordered this product after SkinMedica discontinued the Tri-Retinol Complex (.65 retinol) I had been using for several years. Good Product for Aging
Many dermatologist have told me to use Retinol as an anti-aging cream, so I have continually tried to work a Retinol cream into my weekly skin care routine. I have tried many variations of Retinol, but most are too harsh for my skin and cause excessive dryness and peeling (I think this is mainly due to the combination of other products I use as well but love and want to keep using). This product has replaced Skinmedicas no longer available Tri-Retinol Complex which I had been using for a few years. I had used Tri-Retinol because it was not as strong and caused less peeling than other Retinol creams. I have used Retinol Complex 1.0 for about 2 weeks and do like the results. I have given it 4 stars instead of 5 because it does cause more dryness and peeling than the Tri-Retinol Complex, but the dryness and peeling lasted only one day (whereas with other Retinol products I peel for several days). After the peeling is done, the results are great.

I used the lower dose first and then moved up to this. I didnt get any irritation from it, just a little dryness which went away after using it for a couple of weeks. This is a great alternative if you dont like Retin A.
